Last weekend I had the pleasure of photographing La Llorona Productions’ play ‘Private Thoughts in Public Spaces’. It was clever, playful, and damn sexy. A part of the Casa Festival 2012 happening in London right now. I do love this city!

Blank canvases and acrylic paint… a birthday gift from a friend three years ago. It’s been slow going figuring out what (and how) to paint. Here I used Tim Gagnon for inspiration.

In the past (over a decade ago) I played around with watercolours a little, but mostly stuck to pencil drawings. Acrylics are a whole new kettle of fish. I will persevere.
Got my present from Not Another Bill. The concept is simple and brilliant – for every month you subscribe, you get a surprise gift through the post.

It is a beautiful felt bowl designed by Jouko Karkkainen. Here I’ve filled it with pick ‘n’ mix from Sweet Tooth in Brixton Village. Love it!

Finally, after two years, my calendar project is finished! The idea was to take photos of the numbers 1 to 31 on square prints, and re-arrange them on my wall depending on the month.
This project has been so slow because I never went on a walk specifically to find numbers. All 31 happen to have caught my eye when I had my camera to hand. There’s numbers from London, Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin and San Francisco. Can’t wait to print these!

I’m not sure what possessed me to buy a tin of blackboard paint. Wait, that’s not true, I know exactly what it was – Pinterest. Oh I’m so easily amused…

This week, my phone cover from Casetagram arrived. It is a mosaic of photos that I’ve taken and edited using the Instagram app. I love it!

Also, I entered the Stickygram competition… and won! 8000 entries (of photographs with the theme ‘street’) and 3 winners – pretty chuffed with that!
I am today’s ‘Listen to a Londoner’ feature on the Little London Observationist blog - check it out!

Brick Lane and its surrounding streets are a photographer’s dream. I’ve yet to build up the courage to photograph the eccentric Shoreditch crowd, but yesterday I took a quick stroll and snapped some street art that caught my eye.
Update: The artist behind the first piece below (my favourite) is Cosmo Sarson. And the last piece is by Milo Tchais. Hats off to you, sirs!

“Take my picture!” – sure, Smiley Man With Beercan.
